REASI: In view of recent infiltration bids on LoC in adjoining districts, Reasi Police launched two days inter Police Stations area domination operation to sensitize remote and inaccessible areas adjoining to district Rajouri which had history of militancy in recent past.
Troops from three Police Stations -Arnas, Pouni and Ransoo tracked uphill from different sides for 6 hours combing enroute up-to Ikhni Top.
VDC groups of Fargal, Mujah, Gulzara, Khori, Kotla, Ikhni, Gool, Raskeen, Bharkh also participated in area domination operation.
This two days area domination exercise culminated at Ikhni Top Ransoo.
Iftkhar Ahmed Dysp Headquarters Reasi was coordinating & monitoring while himself reaching destination place.
Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi reached remote mountain pass Ikhni top & addressed the troops & Village Defense Committee (VDC) members who participated in the operation. He also addressed civil society of the hilly hamlets of Ikhni-Gool area.
SSP Reasi reviewed the preparedness of troops and VDC groups to tackle any untoward incident.
Singh expressed concerns about the militancy related activities in the adjoining district Rajouri and possibility of its spill over effects in district Reasi and directed the jawans to remain vigilant & proactive on this front.
Officials were briefed to work with zeal & dedication to curb the menace of Bovine Smuggling, Narcotics and other crime & take special care about security of vital installations & religious places. They were also instructed to work for maintenance of communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the area.
Enroute at Kotla foothills of Ikhni top, Shailender also interacted with locals of the area.
People expressed welcome to the officer on his visit to these far flung areas and put forth various issues faced by the people of these area on daily basis. Officer ensured that the issues pertaining to Police shall be redresed on priority and those pertaining to other departments shall be brought into their notice at the earliest.
Further people were briefed to observe COVID-19 Appropriate Behavior and also to go for 100% Covid Vaccination to get rid of this Pandemic at the earliest.
