JAMMU, Oct 7: To strengthen the medical infrastructure of Jammu District, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) provided one 128 Slice CT Scan Machine to Directorate of Health Services for Gandhi Nagar Hospital, here today.
The machine was handed over to Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director Health Services by Tarun Bajaj, Executive Director, POWERGRID, Northern Region-II and Jasbir Singh, Executive Director, CC-CSR, POWERGRID in the presence of senior officers of POWERGRID and Dr Harbaksh Singh, CMO.
The cost of this CT SCAN machine is around 6.5 crore.
The authorities of the health department thanked POWERGRID for providing this state of Art hi-end equipment.
Under CSR activities, health sector is one of the thrust area of POWERGRID especially in the government hospitals of rural and urban areas across the country with the belief that adequate medical infrastructure is important for well being of the general masses.
During last three years, POWERGRID has taken up many CSR initiatives in Jammu province amounting to Rs 5 crore.
