JAMMU, Oct 8: In a vibrant celebration of women entrepreneurship and local craftsmanship, Mission Shakti District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Jammu , Social Welfare Department organized a special exhibition titled “Vrat and Vibes” at the Mission Shakti premises today.
The event was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jammu, Ansuya Jamwal, who lauded the initiative and applauded the efforts of Mission Shakti in empowering women through skill development and marketing support. She interacted with the participating women entrepreneurs and encouraged them to continue their journey of self-reliance and innovation.
The exhibition featured a wide array of locally made festive products, handicrafts, and handmade items created by women entrepreneurs from across the district. The platform provided them not only a space to showcase their skills but also an opportunity to connect directly with customers and promote indigenous products.
Shagun Manchanda, District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti Jammu, emphasized the importance of such platforms in supporting women-led enterprises. She highlighted how initiatives like “Vrat and Vibes” contribute to financial independence among women and encourage a sustainable model of community-based entrepreneurship. She lauded the valuable support of District Social Welfare Officer Jammu, Nawaz Sharief in making the event a success.
The event witnessed the participation of officials from Mission Shakti DHEW, One Stop Centre, and various stakeholders committed to the cause of women empowerment.
“Vrat and Vibes” successfully brought together tradition, creativity, and empowerment-serving as a testament to the growing strength of women entrepreneurs in Jammu.
