NEW DELHI, Oct 11 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held an important meeting with Cristiano R Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, focusing on India’s accelerating progress in artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and skill development.
The discussions highlighted India’s expanding influence in the global technology landscape. During the talks, the Prime Minister praised Qualcomm’s strong commitment to India’s Semiconductor and AI Missions.
“India offers unmatched talent and scale to build technologies that will shape our collective future,” PM Modi remarked, underscoring India’s potential to emerge as a global centre for advanced technology development.
Expressing appreciation for the dialogue, Cristiano Amon emphasized Qualcomm’s eagerness to strengthen its collaboration with India. He pointed to key opportunities in supporting the IndiaAI and India Semiconductor Missions, as well as the forthcoming evolution toward 6G technology.
“There is great potential to cultivate a vibrant Indian ecosystem across AI-powered smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, automotive, and industrial sectors,” he said.
