NEW DELHI, Oct 12: Dr Deepak Kumar, Medical Superintendent of the State Cancer Institute, Jammu, was honoured with the “Award of Excellence in Hospital Administration” for his contribution to healthcare management and cancer care.
A statement said the award was presented by Ashwini Kumar Choubey, former Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, at the Digital Bharat Summit 2025 organised by WJA India in New Delhi.
The recognition highlights Dr Kumar’s work to strengthen patient services, push digital initiatives and improve clinical care at the State Cancer Institute, the statement said.
Under his leadership, it said, the institute has made measurable improvements in patient-centred services and administrative systems.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr Kumar thanked his seniors and colleagues and said the honour belongs to “every member of the healthcare fraternity who works tirelessly to serve patients with compassion, efficiency and integrity.”
