GMC Kathua, Rajouri students shine in MBBS First Prof results

JAMMU: Students of Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua and Rajouri outshine all medical colleges in the MBBS First Prof resulst announced by University of Jammu, based on new medical curriculum, here on Saturday.
Aditi Bhat, daughter of Ashok Kumar Bhat, of GMC Kathua secured first position by securing 653 marks followed by Jasmine Kour, daughter of Jagdeep Singh, GMC Kathua and Agosh Bhat, son of Vinod Ji Bhat, of GMC Jammu, who shared second position with 650 marks with distinctions. Vanshika Verma, daughter of Rakesh Verma, of GMC Kathua secured third position with 639 followed by Abrar Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Malla, of GMC Rajouri, who got fourth position with 632 marks. Kanish Gupta, daughter of Vinod Gupta and Urvashi Kesar, daughter of Ramesh Kumar, both from GMC Kathua shared fifth position with 627 marks each with distinction.
Rupal Sharma, daughter of Prof (Dr) Ratnakar Sharma, Head Department of Surgery, GMC Jammu stood first in ASCOMS Jammu with 593 marks.
It was a proud moment for students, teaching faculty and principals of GMC Kathua and GMC Rajouri who worked hard for raising standards of medical education in Jammu region.
