PULWAMA, Oct 16: District Police Pulwama wrapped up the Girls Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament under its Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here today. The tournament, here today saw enthusiastic participation from local players, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.
In a thrilling final, Noor 11 Cricket Club Pulwama defeated The Lady Legends Cricket Club Pulwama to claim the championship title. The closing ceremony was graced by SSP Pulwama Tanushree along with senior officers, who presented trophies, medals and cash prizes of Rs 30,000 to the winners and Rs 15,000 to the runners-up.
Mehwish was awarded Player of the Match (Rs 5,000), while Azra received the Player of the Tournament award (Rs 10,000). SSP Tanushree congratulated the teams and emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and a drug-free lifestyle.
The event was widely appreciated by participants and locals, who praised Pulwama Police for promoting sports and strengthening community relations in the district.
