JAMMU, Oct 17: On Day 2 of the Jammu District Open Tennis Championship witnessed thrilling matches at the Lawn Tennis Courts, M.A. Stadium, Jammu. Organized by the J&K Lawn Tennis Association, the tournament saw high participation and competitive intensity in both Men’s Singles and Doubles categories.
In the Men’s Singles, Shaurya Pratap Singh stole the spotlight with two convincing victories over Shubhkarman Singh (8-1) and Saksham Amla (8-3). Hardeep Singh Soodan and Chakshu Mahajan also posted dominant wins, defeating Ashish Bali (8-1) and Sanjay Kotwal (8-0) respectively. Other winners included Sayam Khosla, Amar Jyoti Sharma, Koshin Koul, Deepak Singh, Vikram Gupta and Harshit Sadhotra.
Vikram Gupta registered two gritty wins against Sayam Khosla (8-5) and Sahib Mahajan (8-3), while Harshit Sadhotra edged out Amar Jyoti Sharma (8-5).
In Men’s Doubles, Saksham Amla/Sanchit Gupta won a close battle (8-6), while Shaurya Pratap/Gurleen Singh and Deepak Singh/Chakshu Mahajan also impressed with strong wins. Hardeep Singh Sudan/Pankaj Trivedi registered victory. by 8-4.
