UDHAMPUR, Oct 19: Carrying forward his vision of fast-tracking development, preserving heritage, and improving rural connectivity, Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Udhampur East, today kickstarted repair, renovation, and rejuvenation of historic Jaganoo Talab at an estimated cost of Rs 1.22 lakh.
The Jaganoo Talab, a centuries-old water body that stands as a symbol of the region’s heritage and community life, is being restored in response to long-standing public demand. The rejuvenation aims to preserve the historical and ecological importance of the talab while enhancing its utility for local residents.
Later, in late evening, Mr Pathania also inaugurated Stage-II work of the Sumwal–Sarial Chowa Road, being taken up under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at an estimated cost of Rs 1.30 crore.
