JAMMU, Oct 25: A police Constable suffered severe injuries due to an accidental gunshot from his service weapon at Jammu Railway Station here today.
Selection grade Constable (SgCT) Showkat Ahmad son of Abdul Rehman of Anantnag received injuries in his abdomen after his service rifle went off around 8:30 AM today while he was on duty at the Railway Station, a police official said.
“He was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where he is responding to the treatment,” the police official said.
