KATHUA, Oct 26: A missing girl was reunited with her family in Billawar area here today.
A police official said on October 5, one Khurshid Begum, wife of Abdul Rehman of Mandli, Tehsil Billawar, District Kathua lodged a written complaint at Police Station Billawar, stating therein that her daughter went missing from her home.
On receiving the complaint, he said, a missing report was lodged at Police Station Billawar vide GD number 16 dated October 5, and a team of Police Station Billawar led by SHO concerned, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar conducted searches at various places.
Further, with the help of technology and human intelligence gathered from different sources, the girl was recovered and after completing all the legal formalities, handed over to her legal heirs, he said.
Accordingly, he said, the missing report was closed.
