JAMMU, Oct 26: BJP J&K Vice-President and Incharge of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, Rekha Mahajan, today lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming India’s governance system by ensuring transparency, accountability, and citizen participation.
Addressing a “Yuva Sammelan” organized by BJP Kashmir Displaced District, she said the event aimed to inspire youth towards self-reliance and contribute to the vision of a developed India under the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission.
Highlighting key reforms, Mahajan said that the Digital India initiative has minimized human intervention in Government work, improved efficiency, and promoted digital transactions, leading to transparency in financial dealings.
She added that the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, powered by the JAM trinity, has directly benefited over 150 crore citizens and saved huge sums by eliminating middlemen.
She noted that platforms like MyGov.in and Performance Dashboards across ministries have strengthened public accountability by ensuring regular data disclosures and real-time monitoring of government schemes.
She also mentioned reforms such as One Nation One Ration Card and Digital Land Record Modernization, which have empowered citizens and made governance more transparent.
Urging youth to join the Swadeshi Abhiyan, Mahajan said they must play a proactive role in realizing the Prime Minister’s dream of a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
BJP KDD President Rajeev Pandita also spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of adopting Indian-made products to strengthen the Swadeshi model for a powerful and self-reliant India.
Prominent BJP leaders and Yuva Morcha members were also present at the event.
