MLA starts development works

JAMMU, Oct 26: MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta here today inaugurated development works at Shakti Nagar in Ward numbers 29 and 33.
These works under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 have been started by the MLA with an allotment of Rs. 64 lakh and under these works replacement of outdated water pipelines has been initiated from Lane No. 1 to 12 in Ward No. 29.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said, “In Lower Shiv Nagar, the water supply was severely affected due to old and damaged pipes and the locals were demanding new pipes.”
He emphasized that the project will ensure better water connectivity and improvement of the overall living conditions of the residents.
Gupta thanked PHE Department for their prompt cooperation in commencing the work under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
PHE Executive Engineer, Tajinder Singh; AEE, Pankaj Mohan and JE, Shubham were present on the occasion.
Prominent BJP leaders including Surinder Choudhary, (former JMC Councillor); Mandal president, Kushant Prajapati; BJP OBC Morcha president, Braham Jyot Satti; Atul Bakshi, Mohit Vaid, Tarun Sharma, Rekha, Sudesh Sharma, Mangal, Ashu and party workers were also present on the occasion.
