National Cancer Awareness Day observed

NOWSHERA: Cancer is one of the deadliest disease which require a lifetime of courage and sacrifice. In modern times with the advancement of technology, treatments of Cancer have also been more advanced. However, many people in our country still die due to lack of treatment. Indian Army organised an awareness lecture with a resolve to bring awareness among the village people on the occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day.
Medical Team of Army conducted an interactive session with village populace at Pind Narian, Nowshera in District Rajouri, bursting myths and superstitions related to cancer in form of demonstration. The lecture covered about the signs, early symptoms and importance of screening for early detection. The people expressed their gratitude towards the initiative taken by the Indian Army and desired on regular conduct of such interactive campaigns to help and guide the village natives residing the area.
