JAMMU: Senior BJP leader Sham Lal Langar appreciated the steps taken by the Central Government headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by reducing the Excise Duty on petrol and diesel.
Terming it as a Diwali Gift to the people of the nation, Sham Langar, who is the Convener of BJP Trade and Industries Cell, J&K, also appreciated the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha for immediately slashing the taxes on petrol and diesel in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The senior BJP leader said that such a step of the Central and SJ&K governments will provide much needed relief to the people across the nation. He said that taking such steps shows the government’s commitment towards people’s welfare as the reduced fuel prices will have a direct impact on bringing down the prices of all commodities.Sham Langar said that the BJP Government at the Centre has fulfilled its commitment of giving a transparent dispensation to the country by ensuring transparency and accountability at all levels of administration and eliminating corruption to the hilt. He mentioned that the Modi government has for the first time ensured that corruption is stopped in J&K and the testimony to this fact is that the Lt Government has given clear directions to the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for transferring compensation of hailstorm hit farmers directly into their accounts.
Sham Langar said that the Modi led Union Govt takes due care of all the sections of the society and the commitment of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard can be very well gauged from the fact that he celebrated this Diwali with the security forces along LoC in Nowshera thus boosting their morale. He said that this was the Prime Minister’s fourth Diwali celebration in J&K thus reflecting his strong commitment towards this sensitive Union Territory as well as the personnel guarding the nation’s borders.
