JAMMU: The monthly meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum (AJKPTLF) was held under the chairmanship of its President, Deepak Sharma on virtual mode, and was attended by a number of members. During the meeting, the participants demanded charge allowance and regularisation of all Incharge lecturers besides discussing various other issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Sharma said that Forum is fortunate that many issues of cadre have been resolved by the administration, under guidance of Principal Secretary SED, B K Singh but a large number of incharge lecturers are still awaiting regularisation. He demanded expediting regularization process of all incharge incumbents including left-out lecturers and other officers including Principals and other higher-officers besides granting charge allowance to at all levels.
Forum further demanded that adequate staff must be provided in schools at all levels before any decision is taken on reopening of schools as hundreds of Higher Secondary schools are lying headless and a large number of posts of subject Lecturers are presently vacant. He also demanded release of promotion list of Principals at the earliest and provision of Lecturers through PSC/DPC or academic arrangement to provide immediate relief in interest of students.
Forum further demanded that all lecturers and Principals who have completed tenure of more than one year in hard postings including Ladakh should be repatriated to their home towns. Anil Sharma ,Vice President of forum informed the house that Forum has requested Directorate of School Education Jammu for making transfers to hard areas (Zone 3), with a rider of deemed to be relieved, after successful completion of tenure of one year.
Forum hoped that all burning issues and grievances of 10+2 cadre, including Assured Career progression (ACP)/ Time Bound Promotion and induction quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers etc would be resolved by the Government on priority.
Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by General Secretary R S Slathia and technical coordination was provided by Vice President Anil Sharma. Those who deliberated in the meeting included former President N S Jamwal, Chief Organiser Sanjay Bhagat, District Presidents Imtiaz Qazmi, Ashok Sharma, Fazal Hussain, A R Giri, Jatinder Sethi, Anis Ahmad, Manoj Anand, Vijay Verma, Anwar Khan, Mulkh Raj and Ajay Sehgal.
