JAMMU, Oct 29: The Inter-Zonal District Level U-19 Cricket Competition for boys was conducted at Parade Ground, here today, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, district Jammu.
The tournament provided a platform for around 60 young players from different zones to showcase their cricketing talent. In the 3rd quarter-final, Zone Gandhi Nagar defeated Zone Akhnoor by 8 wickets. Electing to bat first, Akhnoor scored 61 all out, with Manish contributing 91 runs. Ritik from Gandhi Nagar took 3 wickets. Gandhi Nagar chased the target in 8 overs, with Munish scoring 24 runs and Swayam adding 14.
In the 4th quarter-final, Zone Marh beat Zone Bishnah by 64 runs. Marh set a target of 115 runs, while Bishnah was bowled out for 51, with Sanshray claiming 3 wickets. The competition, conducted by expert officials, continues to promote youth engagement and sporting excellence in the district.
