BJP intensifies campaign in Nagrota

JAMMU, Oct 30: Intensifying its campaigning for bye election in the Nagrota Assembly segment, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir president and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma (CA), conducted an extensive day-long tour of the constituency, covering several villages and Panchayats including Barn, Chak Bhalwal, Kangrail, Ban Bathera, Lower Gharota, and adjoining areas today.
District Prabhari, Ayodhya Gupta, and other senior leaders also accompanied party president on the occasion.
During the visit, Sat Sharma chaired a series of meetings with Sarpanches, Panches, and prominent citizens of these areas to mobilize grassroots support for the BJP candidate, Devyani Rana, contesting the upcoming Nagrota by-election. The meetings aimed to strengthen the party’s local network and encourage active participation of influential residents in ensuring a decisive victory for the BJP.
On the occasion Bua Ditta, Ranjit Singh Tinku, and Sonu Singh Pawar joined the BJP in the presence of Sat Sharma, pledging their full allegiance and commitment to support Devyani Rana in the election.
The people of Nagrota have witnessed unprecedented growth and connectivity under the Modi Government. The BJP’s vision is not limited to elections, it is about transforming lives and ensuring that every citizen benefits from the development wave sweeping across Jammu & Kashmir. Meanwhile BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul chaired an important meeting of booth presidents from Dansal Mandal and Nagrota Mandal, as part of the party’s intensive poll preparations for the upcoming Nagrota Assembly by-election. The meeting was attended by senior BJP leaders including former J&K BJP president Ashok Khajuria, DDC Chairperson and BJP vice-president, Bharat Bhushan who is also co-incharge Nagrota by-election, general secretary, Sanjita Dogra, district president, Nand Kishore Sharma, and other prominent leaders.
Senior party leader and former Minister, Priya Sethi also led a spirited campaign in support of Devyani Rana, the party’s official candidate and daughter of former Nagrota MLA, late Devender Singh Rana.
Priya Sethi met key voters in the Nagrota constituency and described Devyani Rana as a “Young, dynamic, and dedicated leader who embodies the aspirations of the youth and the vision of her late father.”
BJP, general secretary and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, chaired a meeting to at Nadore Panchayat in Nagrota constituency today to seek vote for party candidate Devyani Rana.
The meeting focused on key organizational strategies, booth management, voter outreach campaigns, and the specific responsibilities of party workers. Addressing the BJP office bearers and workers, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that there is a strong wave of enthusiasm in favor of the party across the Nagrota Assembly constituency. He stated that the voters of Nagrota have shown immense trust in the BJP’s policies and its vision for development.
