JAMMU, Oct 30: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu today declared that Gurpurab will be celebrated on Nov 5, 2025 across the region.
During a press conference here today the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC), Jammu, disclosed that in connection with the upcoming celebration of the 556th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, a grand programme, like every year will be observed on November 5, 2025, at Gurdwara Yaadgar Guru Nanak Dev J1, Chand Nagar, Jammu.
It was declared that the program will feature a Hazoori Ragi Jatha from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, along with renowned Parcharaks and other distinguished religious personalities. They will share enlightening discourses on the divine life, teachings, and message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, spreading His eternal principles of peace, unity, and selfless service.
The president of DGPC Jammu appealed to the Sikh Sangat/ devotees to participate in large numbers in this sacred celebration, to receive the blessings of Guru Maharaj and to take part in the collective Ardas (prayer) for peace, brotherhood, and the progress of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the entire nation.
He further requested the Sangat to come forward and offer Sewa (selfless service) during the event to ensure its smooth and successful organization. In his concluding remarks, the president of DGPC Jammu expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members of the media for their presence and support in spreading awareness about the upcoming celebration.
Prominent persons present at the press conference included- Ranvir Singh, Jagpal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, along with several other distinguished members and community representatives.
