JAMMU, Nov 3: The new edition of book ‘Doyens of Dogri Literature’ in English, written by O.P Sharma, veteran journalist, showcasing 51 Sahitya Akademi Awardees in Dogri, is hitting stalls.
This was the 2nd edition of ‘Doyens of Dogri Literature’ within 1 year of its publication which bears testimony to the interest of the individuals and institutions in Dogri language and literature.
This first of its kind 250 page pictorial book highlights all the 52 Sahitya Akademi Awardees of Dogri Literature, showing their literary contributions to enrich the Dogri language and literature.
The book also gives glimpses of Dogra cultural heritage as well as new modern project works like heritage sites, two Basohli paintings and modern institutions like IIIM, IIT, IIM and highest railway bridge.
The writer has also authored a notable book in English on prominent poet ‘Kehri Singh Madhukar’ published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
This book ‘Doyens of Dogri Literature’ is also available on Amazon Kindle and Flipkart platforms.
