JAMMU, Nov 3: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu organized the Inter-Collegiate Football (Men) Tournament for the session 2025-26.
In a thrilling final encounter, MIET Jammu emerged as champions, defeating GDC Udhampur by 3-2 goals in a closely contested match that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. Earlier in the tournament, GDC Udhampur had defeated the PG Department, University of Jammu, while MIET Jammu registered a narrow 2-1 victory over GDC Kathua to reach the finals.
Earlier in the tournament, GDC Udhampur had defeated the PG Deptt. JU by 4-3, while MIET Jammu registered a narrow 2-1 victory over GDC Kathua to secure their place in the final. The third place was claimed by the PG Deptt. JU who beat GDC Kathua by 2-1 goals.
The matches were efficiently officiated by Rahul Sharma, Dheeraj Menia, Dil Bahadur, Kartik, Shivam Gupta, Ramesh Chander and Gagan Kumar. The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
