POONCH, Nov 12: In a major breakthrough, the police in Poonch today apprehended an absconding woman, wanted in a murder case.
An official spokesman said that the accused woman was booked in a case FIR No. 09/2022 U/S 302/109 IPC of Police Station Loran.
The accused, identified as Raja Bano, wife of Farooq, resident of Mujhpathri, Tehsil Khansahb, District Budgam, had been evading arrest since 2022. A warrant under Section 299 CrPC had been issued against her by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Poonch.
Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station Loran successfully traced and apprehended the said accused. After completion of legal formalities, the accused was produced before the court for further proceedings.
