JAMMU: Convenor Trade and Industries Cell, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sham Lal Langar, while welcoming Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha’s statement regarding the return of Kashmiri Pandits’ to the Valley, has asserted that the BJP is correcting all the wrong doings of the earlier successive governments at the Centre as well as in this erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement issued to media here today, the BJP leader accused the Congress party of following absolutely wrong policies detrimental for the integrity of the nation. He said that it is a result of these policies that lakhs of people belonging to the miniscule Kashmiri Pandit community have been exiled from their aboriginal homes in Kashmir Valley to become refugees in their own nation.
What could be more ironic than the fact that this miniscule Kashmiri Pandit community haunted by the memories of exodus from the valley over three decades ago, continues to yearn for its safe and dignified return to the valley today, Langar questioned.
The BJP leader said that the LG has rightly urged Government officials to take proactive steps to facilitate the return of Kashmiri Pandits because they are the arms of the administration on which the governance depends. He said that as per the instructions of LG the officials must soon initiate measures to reach out the members of this community across the nation and the globe for facilitating their return at the earliest. He asserted that the safe and dignified return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits Kashmir Valley will soon become a reality during the present BJP Government’s tenure.
