JAMMU, Nov 18: Police in Bishnah town here today claimed to have arrested a couple and recovered 22.45 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession.
Amjad Khan alias Taiya and his wife Shamshad Akhter alias Putti, both residents of Sikanderpur Kothey, were arrested from their home with the consignment by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal, with PSI Zahid Manhas in assistance, a police official said.
Accordingly, he said, the duo was booked in case FIR number 129/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah, with further investigation taken up to uncover both the backward and forward links of the accused.
