JAMMU, Nov 25: Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar, organized an Inter-School Mathematics Quiz Competition, bringing together young mathematical minds from several reputed institutions. Participating schools included Hermann Gmeiner School, SD Tara Puri Public High School, Blooming Dale Public High School, RM Public School and Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar. Teams were named after legendary mathematicians such as Aryabhata, Pythagoras and Bhaskar, celebrating mathematical heritage.
The competition showcased exceptional problem-solving and reasoning skills, with Shiksha Niketan High School (Gandhi Nagar) initially emerging as the winner. However, in a remarkable gesture of sportsmanship, the host school handed over its winning position to RM Public School, making them the official winner of the event.
The final results of the competition were: Winner – RM Public School (RMPS), 1st Runner-up – Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar and 2nd Runner-up – Hermann Gmeiner School. Consolation prizes were given to the other teams and all participants received Certificates of Participation.
Rameshwar Mengi, Principal and Riskeek Mengi, Director of Shiksha Niketan, who encouraged participants and emphasized the importance of academic competitions for student development.
