UDHAMPUR, Nov 26: Police today attached an alleged drug peddler’s property worth Rs 4 crore in Majalta area of Udhampur district.
Moveable and immovable assets of Majid Ali of Dhami, Nagrota, Jammu, have been attached under section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR numbers 89 and 90/2025 registered under sections 8/21/22/27(A)/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Majalta, a police official said.
He said two individuals-Majid Ali and Sanjay Kumar-were arrested initially in connection with the FIRs but after thorough investigation, police concluded that Ali was the kingpin of the drug racket.
As such, his properties, acquired through illegal proceeds of the narcotics, were seized, he said.
The attached properties include a residential house and land measuring 4 kanals and 14 marlas falling under Khasra numbers 8, 12, and 13 situated at Village Dhami, Nagrota. In addition to this, eight vehicles, linked to the accused have also been seized.
Meanwhile, three bank accounts of the accused Majid Ali and Sanjay Kumar have also been frozen, carrying a total balance of Rs 1.57 lakh.
