JAMMU, Nov 26: A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat celebrated its 56th Annual-cum-Prize Distribution Function, “Prerna – An Inspiration,” with great enthusiasm at the Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground, here today. The event showcased the school’s commitment to holistic education, cultural vibrancy and student excellence.
Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Jammu East, graced the occasion as chief guest, while JS Johar, Director Police Telecommunication J&K, presided over the function. Amit Bhasin, SSP Traffic Jammu, attended as Special Invitee. The programme also saw the presence of senior officials including Deepak Dubey, Joint Director Information Jammu; Aijaz Qaiser, Joint Director Tourism Jammu; Ranjeet Kalra, Member Governing Council (Sports), SMVDSB; and Dr. A.K. Kapoor.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that Annual Day celebrations foster a healthy learning atmosphere, teamwork and confidence among students. He praised the school for providing a platform that nurtures talent and encourages overall development. JS Johar highlighted that honouring parents and teachers is the prime duty of every student, as they are the guiding pillars of life.
Deepak Dubey emphasized self-discipline as an “invisible superpower” that shapes character and success. The cultural programme, themed on inspiration and values, received applause for its creativity and powerful performances.
Meritorious students were felicitated for excellence in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming ASN School’s commitment to shaping responsible and motivated future citizens.
