PULWAMA, Dec 30: The District Pulwama Carrom Championship 2025–26, organized by District Pulwama Carrom Association under the aegis of the J&K Carrom Association, concluded at Bajwani Sports Stadium, Tral. Held under the flagship initiative “My Youth My Pride” of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, the championship aimed at promoting sports culture and youth engagement in the region. Around 80 players participated across four categories—Cadet, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior—for boys & girls/men & women.
The closing ceremony was attended by Md. Akram, Manager Sports Stadium Tral; Arif Sultan Khan, Treasurer J&K Carrom Association; Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, President District Pulwama Carrom Association; Peer Musadiq, Executive Member; and other officials. Medals and mementos were awarded to winners, runners-up, and third-place holders.
Champions included Arooja Maqbool, Mohammad Adhyaam-ul-Haq, Duaa Farooq, Rish Hiban, Soliha Batool, Dayim, Nayla and Sehraan Rasool. The association expressed gratitude to the Sports Council, officials, volunteers, and participants and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Carrom across Pulwama district.
