KC Public School hosts Sportathon-2025

JAMMU, Dec 1: The annual KC Sportathon-2025 was held at the floodlit multi-purpose sports ground of KC Public School, Jammu, with Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister presiding as the chief guest. The function was also graced by Anil Goswami (Retd), former Union Home Secretary, and SS Wazir (Retd senior police officer) as guests of honour.
The Sportathon commenced with the lighting of the sports torch, followed by a welcome address by Principal AK Mishra. The programme featured an oath-taking ceremony, march past by Jammu, Kashmir, Poonch and Ladakh Houses and the newly-formed Girls’ NCC Wing. Highlights included a mass PT display by Junior Wing students, Zumba aerobics, martial arts including traditional Gatka, a special drill by girl students, a brass band performance and a BSF Dog Show. Track events such as sprints and inter-house relays added competitive spirit.
In his address, Chairman Raju Chowdhary praised the school’s achievements, including being the only Round Square School in J&K and ranked number one in the UT in the co-educational day-cum-boarding category. Chief guest lauded the management for creating world-class educational and sporting opportunities.
The event concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey, acknowledging parents, BSF and the school community for making the Sportathon a grand success.
