BHADERWAH, Dec 1: In a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir, Ananyaa Kotwal, daughter of Prof. Arjun Kotwal from Bhalra Bhaderwah, has been selected to represent the Union Territory in the 51st National Women Chess Championship 2025.
The prestigious championship is scheduled from December 3 to 13, 2025, at the Sidhu Kanu Indoor Stadium, Durgapur, West Bengal, organized by Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha on behalf of the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
During the screening event, Ananyaa received encouragement and best wishes from Krupali Singh (Gymnastics Coach), Iqbal Singh (Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu) and Anil Kotwal (President, Bhaderkashi Chess Association, District Doda).
The Bhaderkashi Chess Association and local sports community expressed immense pride in her achievement, noting her dedication and talent.
