SAMBA, Dec 12: Samba police has arrested a lady drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately 14.22 grams of heroin along with cash of Rs 87140 and one weighing machine from her possession.
Police spokesman said acting swiftly on an information received from reliable sources, a team of PS Vijaypur conducted a raid at Rakh Barotian Vijaypur and arrested a lady drug peddler from her residence who was involved in selling of heroin among youth of the area. During the search, the police have recovered approximately 14.22 grams of heroin along with cash amounting to Rs 87,140 and one weighing machine from the possession of the lady drug peddler, he added.
Spokesman said the arrested lady drug peddler has been identified as Alam Bibi, wife of Noor Alam of Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur. The contraband substance along with cash and other item have been seized on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 139/2025 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started, he added.
