JAMMU, Dec 17: Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhagat MLA Bishnah today kick started the macadamization work on the vital link road connecting the Ring Road to the Sahib Bandagi Ashram.
The project, estimated at a cost of Rs 22.50 lakh, spans a length of 500 meters. This development is expected to significantly improve connectivity for devotees visiting the Ashram and local residents who frequently use this stretch.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a team from the Public Works Department (PWD), led by Rafiq Ahmad, Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD Sub Division Bishnah. The engineering team briefed the MLA on the technical specifications and assured that the work would be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards.
Addressing a large gathering at Ring Road near the Shiv Shakti Resort, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bhagat reiterated his commitment to rural infrastructure. “Infrastructure development is the backbone of a prosperous constituency. This link road was a long-standing demand of the people, and our priority is to ensure that every corner of Bishnah is connected with high-quality, macadamized roads,” Dr. Rajeev stated.
He further emphasized that more such projects are in the pipeline to enhance the living standards of the rural populace.
The event saw a strong presence of local leadership and social activists. Prominent among those present included Vijay Saini, OBC Morcha State vice president, Sumit Sadotra, Mandal president, Bishnah, M.R Puri, SC Morcha president (Border district), Rajinder Kumar Billa, State president, Batwal Sabha, former Sarpanches: Bhagwan Dass, Surjeet Singh (Neta), and Surjeet Singh (Sonu), Kuldeep Sodi, general secretary, Bishnah, Supinder Sharma, general secretary Arnia Mandal, Surinder Singh Chib, Former corporator, Raj Kumar, former Panch and others. The local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MLA for his proactive approach in addressing the developmental needs of the area.
