SAMBA, Dec 19: As a part of its relentless effort against drug peddlers/smugglers, Samba police has attached a residential house and an alto car bearing Registration Number JK02CR-3823 valuing approximately 46.48 lakh belonging to notorious drug peddler Wali Mohd, son of Lal Hussain of Chak Murara tehsil Bishnah district Jammu, presently residing at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana district Samba.
A police spokesperson said the action was taken under Sections 68-E read with 68-F of NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No.173/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act of PS Bari Brahmana.
He said the residential house valuing Rs 42.86 lac approximately and the car valuing Rs 3,62,293.00, making a total of Rs 46,48,293.00, were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcoticd and psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
The spokesperson said that the accused Wali Mohd is involved in assault on police party at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana and in this regard a case FIR No. 36/2025 has been registered against him at PS Bari Brahmana. The accused is also an associate of notorious drug peddler Masoom Ali alias Kala son of Dulla of Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba against whom various NDPS cases have been registered in the district.
He said this decisive action demonstrates the police’s ongoing commitment to dismantle the drug trade by targeting illegal assets and deterring future offenders. Local people of the area hailed this unprecedented initiative of Samba Police against drug dealers.
The entire proceedings were carried by a special team headed by SHO PS, Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba.
