JAMMU, Dec 25: MY Bharat, Jammu, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports organised a Cluster Level Sports Meet at KNIT Model Academy as part of the closing ceremony of Sansad Khel Mahotsav. The event was graced by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Surinder Kumar Bhagat, MLA Marh and Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West.
The meet featured six disciplines, including team events-Volleyball (Boys) and Tug of War (Girls)-and individual events-Shot Put (Boys), 200 Metre Race (Boys), Skipping Rope (Girls) and Badminton (Girls). Young athletes showcased exemplary sportsmanship, teamwork and talent.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized that sports are essential for building a healthy, confident, and responsible generation. The MLAs appreciated MY Bharat’s efforts in promoting grassroots sports and youth development.
Winners and outstanding performers were felicitated with trophies and certificates. The event was coordinated by Nitin Hangloo, Deputy Director, MY Bharat Jammu, with support from KNIT Model Academy and SSCAJK. Other dignitaries present included Ayodhya Gupta, Bhuvnesh Mehta, Bharat Bhushan, Gopal, Anita Rajput, Deepak Pandey and Raman Singh.
