As you know, one of the recent additions among Bengali movies is Raktabeej 2 on ZEE5. The plot dives into post-blast chaos. IG Pankaj Sinha (Abir Chatterjee) and SP Sanjukta Mitra (Mimi Chakraborty) discover “Mission M2,” a terrorist plot through foxy Munir Alam (Ankush Hazra) to ignite riots among India and Bangladesh using fake information, bombs, and hidden spies. Clues race from Delhi’s places of work to Kolkata’s colourful Puja pandals—dhak beats and colourful crowds hiding threat—then to wet Bangkok streets for heart-pounding chases, rooftop brawls, and shocking betrayals. Victor Banerjee shines as the sensible President Animesh Chatterjee, navigating political secrets, at the same time as Seema Biswas as Bangladesh PM Sultana Rahman provides diplomatic tension. Koushani Mukherjee and others weave in family intrigue and twists.
Themes of border unity, women’s grit in uniform, and quiet heroism shine through without preachiness. Action feels raw—no glossy CGI—with bike jumps and gunfights that grip you. Indraadip Dasgupta’s score amps the pulse, blending emotional ballads and thriller beats.
Meet the Cast of Raktabeej 2:
Victor Banerjee is again the President of India. Someone is still trying to kill him. A new villain, Munir Alam, is sitting outside India and making a dangerous plan called “Mission M2”. His idea is very scary – he wants Hindus and Muslims of India and Bangladesh to fight each other so both countries become weak.
Abir Chatterjee returns as the clever investigator Pankaj Sinha. Mimi Chakraborty is SP Sanjukta Mitra – she wears a police uniform and kicks bad guys like a boss. This time Ankush Hazra joins them as a young officer who does all the risky stunts. The three of them make a secret team and start running behind the clues.
The chase begins in Delhi, comes to Kolkata during Puja, and then suddenly goes to Bangkok. Yes, real Bangkok! They actually shot there for many days. You will see night markets, big roads, rooftop fights – everything looks real, not green screen.
The Puja scenes are beautiful. Big pandals, dhak beats, people in new clothes, sandhi puja aarti – everything is shown so nicely that you feel you are walking on the streets of Kolkata. But at the same time bombs are ticking and bad men are planning something terrible during the happiest days of Bengal. This mixture of joy and tension is what makes the movie special.
The action is non-stop after the interval. There was a bike chase in Bangkok that made the whole hall scream. Ankush does most stunts himself, Mimi fights like a hero, and Abir looks super cool with his gun and serious face.
Victor Banerjee has less screen time but whenever he speaks, you experience goosebumps. He talks about India-Bangladesh friendship and the way politicians every now and then play dirty video games with humans’ feelings. The message is strong however it never looks like a humdrum lecture.
Music by:
Music by Indraadip Dasgupta is good. There is one emotional song when Abir remembers his family, and one fast beat during the final fight. The background score is loud and makes your heart beat fast.
