ITI Employees United Front submits memo to DyCM

JAMMU, Jan 1: J&K ITI Employees United Front, president Nazir Ahmed Molvi along with other members of the organization, today met the Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, at his office and submitted a memorandum.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a detailed memorandum of demands highlighting key issues faced by ITI employees across the Union Territory to the Dy Chief Minister.
While highlighting issues, the delegation demanded regularisation and enhancement of salary for vocational instructors and other staff engaged on adhoc, contractual, consolidated, academic, guest faculty, self-finance, IMC, and PPP modes.
They further demanded finalisation of Recruitment Rules (Non-Gazetted / Gazetted); reorganisation of the department, including upgradation, institution-level restructuring, and rationalization; removal of pay anomalies in the posts of Librarian and MTS, Technical training (ITI) for MTS staff, and issuance of the seniority list of MTS staff of Kashmir Division.
United Front also sought provision of maternity leave, medical leave, and a transfer policy for academic consolidated and contractual employees; uniform designation/change of nomenclature of VI & GI posts /issuance of Executive order regarding the change of uniform designation; auction/condemnation and disposal of unserviceable items and placement of Heads of Institutions (HOIs).
The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that their demands would be addressed at the earliest. He emphasized the government’s commitment to resolving the long-pending issues of ITI employees and ensuring their welfare.
