JPBM resolves to launch crusade against drug menace

JAMMU, Jan 1: Jammu Province Bachao Manch (JPBM) here today passed a resolution to launch crusade against drug menace.
In a press conference, former Legislator, Ashok Sharma said the resolution received unanimous backing from intellectuals including Advocate H.C Jalmeria, Romesh Chander Sharma, Dr. Yash Paul Sharma, Baljeet Singh Manhas, Arjun Sharma, Nakul Sharma, Ritik Kumar and Vijay Choudhary.
Sharma expressed concern over the alarming rise of drug abuse especially the spread of Chitta.
“JPBM will spearhead a grassroots movement to dismantle drug-peddling networks in Jammu,” he said adding: “When collective will of people unites, no criminal element can withstand it.”
He said that JPBM will not remain mute spectator when narcotics devastate our families.
“We are launching a mass awareness campaign to expose the consequences of addiction and mobilize public against this existential threat,” the JPBM leader maintained.
Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, JPBM chief spokesperson claimed that the demon of drug addiction is systematically trapping our youth.
Satish Poonchi, JPBM vice president also spoke on the occasion.
On this occasion, JBM also launched its website www.jbmjk.in.
