JAMMU, Jan 2: All India Congress Committee president, Mallikarjun Kharge today approved the appointment of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents for the Jammu and Kashmir.
The appointments have been made after submission of report by the district observers deployed by the party high command in the recent past in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former minister Yogesh Sawhney has been appointed as president for District Jammu (Urban), Neeraj Kundan District head for Jammu (Rural), Dr Adil Farooq Mir , president for District Srinagar; Pankaj Dogra re-appointed president for District Kathua, Ajay Salathia for District Reasi, Mohd Shahnawaz Choudhary for Poonch, Sanjeev Sharma for District Samba, Sumeet Magotra heads District Udhampur, Javed Iqbal Lone for Doda, Pyare Lal Shan District Kishtwar and Ashok Sharma as DCC president for Rajouri.
Mir Iqbal Ahmed has been appointed as DCC president for Baramulla, Farooq Ahmed Bhat heads Anantnag District, Ms Shabnam Jan District Shopian, Umar Jaan District Pulwama, Haji Farooq Ahmed Mir district Kupwara, Ajaz Ahmed Sheikh District Ganderbal, Muzaffar Dar District Budgam, Sheikh Farooq District Bandipur while Abdul Rahid Lone has been appointed as District president for Kulgam.
