Reviews Shaheedi Diwas preparations

KATHUA, Jan 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted a review meeting for the upcoming Shaheedi Diwas programme, scheduled to be observed on January 11 this year in the Hiranagar.
The Shaheedi Diwas is commemorated every year to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Bihari Lal and Shaheed Bikham Singh, who laid down their lives during the historic Praja Parishad Aandolan under the nationalist movement of “Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan.”
The meeting was addressed by district Seh-Prabhari, Sanjay Kumar Baru and was convened by MLA Hiranagar Vijay Sharma.
While addressing the meeting, Sanjay Kumar Baru highlighted the historic significance of the Praja Parishad movement and the sacrifices made by Shaheed Bihari Lal and Shaheed Bikham Singh for the dignity, unity, and Constitutional integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the nation. He said that the BJP considers it a moral duty to remember and honour such martyrs who stood firm for national unity.
Sanjay Baru further stated that the vision of Viksit Bharat is not confined merely to economic growth, but is also a cultural and historic realization of the nation, rooted in sacrifices, values, and the spirit of nationalism. He emphasized that programmes like Shaheedi Diwas help the younger generation understand the true meaning of patriotism and the struggles that shaped today’s India.
MLA Vijay Sharma, while addressing the meeting, undertook a detailed review of all arrangements related to the Shaheedi Diwas programme. He assessed the preparations regarding public participation, coordination among party units, logistics, and the overall structure of the event. He informed that senior leaders of the party are also expected to participate in the programme, making it a significant occasion for the constituency.
Vijay Sharma called upon all party workers to work collectively to make the programme a grand and meaningful success.
DDC Marheen Karan Atri, former MLA Kuldeep Raj, Mandal president, and several senior leaders and party functionaries of the constituency, were present in the meeting.
Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Mandal president Mukesh Padha.
