JKPL: Tiles & Bath, Sultan Warriors triumph

JAMMU, Jan 2: The BIG Jammu and Kashmir Premier League (BIG JKPL) 2025-26, witnessed another exciting day of cricket at the University of Jammu Ground, featuring explosive batting and tactical bowling performances.
The matches were graced by Haseeb Ur Rehman, DIG Railways-J&K, who lauded the league for promoting sports culture, discipline and leadership among youth.
In the first match between Tiles and Bath Cricket Club and Kanwal Tigers. Kanwal Tigers batted first and were restricted to 154 all out in 18.5 overs. Kulwinder Singh took 4 wickets for 27 runs, while Rajat Sharma claimed 3 for 20 and was named Player of the Match. Chasing 155, Tiles and Bath Cricket Club got off to a flying start with Aman Khatri scoring 35 off 15 balls. Shubham Singh Pundir anchored the innings with a dominant unbeaten 62 off 30 balls, hitting five sixes and three fours, helping his team reach 156/4 in 14.1 overs for a comfortable victory.
The second match saw Sultan Warriors Baramulla post 242/3 against Power Panthers, with Waseem Kachur scoring 70 off 31 and earning Player of the Match. Discipline from Harjinder Singh and Inam Lefty restricted Panthers to 188/9, giving Sultan Warriors a 54-run win.
