SKCC crushes Mechanical Engineer XI by 72 runs

JAMMU, Jan 4: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC) registered a commanding 72-run victory over Mechanical Engineer XI (MCX1) in a friendly cricket match at Satwari Ground, Jammu. The match was held under the social slogan “Say Yes to Future, No to Drugs,” promoting sports as a tool for a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
After winning the toss, SKCC captain Surpreet Singh elected to bat, and the team posted a strong total of 181 for 4 in 20 overs. Akshit starred with a brilliant 52 off 34 balls, supported by Aneesh (40), Sumit Kumar (30) and Anil Langeh (26). For MCX1, Mukesh and Sonu took two wickets each.
Chasing 182, MCX1 faltered and were all out for 110, with Mukesh top-scoring at 42 and Vipan contributing 30. Surpreet Singh claimed three wickets, while Akshit and Aneesh picked two each. Akshit was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
