Hindu Sammelans organised to observe RSS centenary year

JAMMU, Jan 4: To mark the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Hindu Sammelans were organised today at different places across Jammu region.
A Hindu Sammelan was organised at MahadevBasti, Reasi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of members of the Hindu community, including women and youth, reflecting a strong sense of unity and cultural pride.
The programme was graced by Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Aksharanand Ji Maharaj as the chief guest. In his inspiring address, he highlighted the importance of Hindu unity, culture, and spiritual consciousness, emphasizing that Sanatan values play a vital role in nation-building.
Union Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent local dignitaries including Bodhraj, Prabhu Dayal, and Brahma Kumari Rajni Ji were also present on the occasion.
The chief speaker, RSS Prant Pracharak Mukesh Ji, elaborated on the century-long journey of the Sangh, its ideology, objectives, and future roadmap. He also spoke in detail about the concept of “Panch Parivartan”, calling upon society to bring transformative changes in social harmony, family values, environmental responsibility, self-reliance, and civic discipline for a strong and developed nation.
Another event was held at Shiv Om Saraf Palace, Tomal Bohri, here. It witnessed the participation of saints, social thinkers, intellectuals and members of the community in large numbers.
Maha Mandaleshwar Mahant Rameshwar Das Ji graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Shriman Ranjan Ji, Prant Saha-Baudhik Pramukh, was the main speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Shriman Ranjan Ji elaborated on the Panch Pran (five pledges) propounded by the RSS for the citizens of the country. He appealed to the people to shed the colonial mindset and embrace a vision rooted in cultural pride and national consciousness. He said that the concept of organising Hindu Sammelans across the nation is guided by the broader vision of social unity, cultural awakening and national integration. Emphasising the need to overcome internal divisions, he called for fostering a sense of oneness and collective identity within Hindu society.
Chief guest, Mahant Rameshwar Das Ji blessed the audience with his inspiring words on patriotism and spirituality. He stated that Hindu Sammelans provide an important platform where saints, social thinkers, intellectuals and community leaders share perspectives on contemporary social issues, helping in ideological clarity and collective direction. He underlined that such Sammelans are conceived as non-political, cultural and social platforms aimed at promoting unity, awareness, self-respect and collective responsibility within Hindu society. Mahant Ji also recited Vedic shlokas, filling the atmosphere with devotion.
Shri Radheshyam Ji, a well-known RSS ideologue, presented the welcome address and conducted the proceedings of the Sammelan, while Subhash Ji proposed the vote of thanks.
A mesmerising cultural programme was presented by Dr. Jasmeet Kour, Professor of Music and Fine Arts, University of Jammu, along with Swarangam Musical Academy, Saraswati Vihar. A patriotic Rashtra Bhakti song, written, composed and sung by budding artist Gaurav, was also presented and received warm appreciation from the audience.
The programme concluded with the collective recitation of “Vande Mataram.”
Another Samelan was held by Baba Jatoo Nagar, Dharmal at Barnai in which Dr Virender Kundal Prant Seh Sampark Pramukh was the chief guest while Sadvi Shruti Kirti Ji and Brahama Kumari Kusum Didi were the main speakers. They highlighted the hundred years’ journey of RSS and stressed on Hindu unity and social service. The patriotic songs were recited by the gathering.
Another programme was held at Basant Vihar Basti Jammu.
A grand Basti Shah Sammelan was also organised at the historic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Ward No. 1,. The programme focused on the ideals of Akhand Bharat, social harmony, cultural awareness, and national unity.
The event was addressed by Murli Manohar Ji, RSS North Regional Officer and chief spokesperson, who highlighted the centenary journey of the RSS and its role in strengthening society at the grassroots level through service, discipline, and cultural consciousness. He emphasised the importance of initiatives like Basti Shah Sammelan in connecting communities with national values.
Several eminent religious and spiritual leaders were prominently present on the occasion, including Kal Bhairav Mandir Mahant, Rumil Sharma Ji, Mauni Baba Ashram Mahant, Baba Banwari Das Ji, and Mandir Mahant Ajay Bhardwaj Ji, who collectively stressed the importance of spiritual values, social unity, and moral strength in nation-building.
The programme was also attended by senior political leaders and public representatives, including former MLA, Ashok Khajuria, MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Priya Sethi and Former Deputy Mayor, Jammu Purnima Sharma, who appreciated the role of cultural and social organisations in fostering unity and preserving India’s civilisational heritage.
RS Pura witnessed a significant socio-religious gathering today as a one-day Hindu Conference was successfully organized at village Krishna Nagar, Miran Sahib block. The conference saw enthusiastic participation from saints, social activists, intellectuals, retired senior officers, and a large number of local residents, reflecting a strong spirit of unity, awareness, and collective resolve within the community.
The programme was presided over by Purushotam Lal Dadhichi, Jammu and Kashmir In-charge and senior functionary of the Sanatan Dharma Sabha, along with Nirmal Swaroop Swami. Several eminent saints and distinguished personalities graced the occasion, including Sant Radhe Radhe, Sant Narendra Das Maharaj, former Chief Information Commissioner and Professor, Law Department, Jammu University Sudesh Sharma, Subash Chaudhary, retired Principal, Somnath and several other dignitaries.
