JAMMU, Jan 10: Astro India Automobile, the authorized dealer of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, today unveiled two landmark SUVs — the all-new Mahindra XEV 9S and Mahindra XUV 7XO — at its dealership located on National Highway, Bari Brahmana.
The unveiling ceremony was held amidst a gathering of customers and patrons and was attended by Chairman Mohinder Gupta, Managing Director Vikram Mahajan, Director Satyam Gupta, Dr C D Gupta, along with executive members of the Amar Singh Club.
The XEV 9S marks a major step forward in India’s electric mobility space as the country’s first authentic electric-origin 7-seater SUV. Priced from Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV is built ground-up on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO electric platform and powered by MAIA, India’s fastest automotive intelligence system.
Positioned as “India’s Big New Electric”, the XEV 9S is designed for families and professionals seeking uncompromised space, comfort and performance. It offers best-in-class cabin and storage volumes, a whisper-quiet ride, and premium features including Level 2+ ADAS, seven airbags, triple 31.24 cm screens, Harman Kardon audio with Dolby Atmos, and advanced connectivity.
Battery options go up to 79 kWh, delivering 210 kW power, a 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 7 seconds, and low running costs of around Rs 1.2 per km. Bookings open on January 14, 2026, with deliveries commencing from January 23, 2026.
Alongside, Mahindra introduced the XUV 7XO, priced from Rs 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom). The next-generation premium SUV debuts five segment-first innovations, including the world’s first DAVINCI suspension system, India’s first ICE Software Defined Vehicle, coast-to-coast triple HD screens, integrated Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and Level 2 ADAS with dynamic visualization.
Designed as a future-ready SUV, the XUV 7XO combines bold styling, advanced digital technology, powerful petrol and diesel engine options, and over 120 safety features, targeting a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
