JAMMU: Bhartiya Janata Party on Tuesday pledged to cross 50 seat mark in Legislative Assembly in the next elections to form the government on its own in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Before going home from this working committee every BJP leader must take pledge to ensure win of more than 50 seats in next Assembly Elections”, Pradesh President Ravinder Raina said at the conclusion of 2-day ‘State’ Working Committee meeting at Vijaypur after adopting a Resolution.
BJP National General Secretary and Prabhari J&K Tarun Chugh, National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, Union MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma (former President), BJP Seh-Prabhari Ashish Sood, former State Presidents Dr. Nirmal Singh (former Dy. Chief Minister), Ashok Khajuria and Sat Sharma, former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul and other senior leaders inaugurated the meeting with lighting of traditional lamp.
BJP State Office Bearers, Morcha Presidents, Executive Body, Special Invitees, Department Incharges, Cell Convenors, former MLAs, former MLCs, DDC Chairpersons, DDC Vice-Chairpersons, BDC Chairpersons and other senior party leaders participated in the meeting.
While addressing the meeting Tarun Chug said that BJP holds the distinction of being a party of activists serving selflessly and dedicatedly only for the welfare of the nation and the society. He said that in Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government, we talk of development of common people whereas the development was earlier restricted to a few chosen families. Now the people are fed up with dynastic politics of NC, PDP and Congress and their leaders are deserting those corrupt parties. He held Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru along with Sheikh Abdullah responsible for series of ill decisions related to J&K which restricted development here. He stressed that those responsible for killings innocents will not be spared. He also said that J&K holds very special place in hearts of people from every corner of Nation and as such BJP activists have more responsibility to live up to the expectations of common masses and party leadership as well.
Ravinder Raina, in his Presidential address, thanked party activists for their dedicated efforts in making BJP as a reckoning force. He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for effective management of COVID-19 and the emergence of India as world leader in coming out of troubled times. He said that on August 5′ 2019 historic decision was taken by Modi government to end the 70 years long injustice to various communities like Refugees, Gujjars, Bakkarwals, Valmikis, Gorkhas etc. He said that earlier the Jammu region had to struggle for every basic need but now in Modi ji led government, the region has witnessed unprecedented development in form of AIIMS, Medical Colleges and other numerous achievements. He stressed that recruitment process for youth employment and all the development works were still going on in the Covid marred period, which speaks of the commitment of Modi government for the development of J&K.
Dr. Narinder Singh enlightened the party activists on India’s achievements under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. He said that Modi ji brought major reforms in whole working system of administration by promoting technology and other innovative measures to provide direct benefits to the intended population.
Dr. Jitendra Singh spoke on the prominent role of PM Modi led government in the successful management of Covid Pandemic. He attributed this success to the continuous working of Modi led administration since last 7 years. He said that Modi ji led a journey from pessimism to optimism. He said that Modi ji established an example of dedication which was evident in Covid period. He said that the working of Modi ji is innovative and committed to take strong decisions in favor of masses. This commitment needs years of dedication, selflessness and love for all. He asked the party activists to take party’s achievements with facts and figures in front of masses.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that PM Modi led government not only managed the Covid Pandemic meritoriously but also took the essential steps to benefit the common people rolling out multiple public welfare schemes. He said that grand bridges, main roads, bunkers ans other essential requirements have been built in unprecedented manner and pace which has given speed to development in J&K even in this Covid marred period. He also said that BJP has fulfilled its promises on Article 370, Shree Ram Mandir as well as development.
Ashish Sood spoke on extending party activities among the masses and shared strategies for the same. He laid emphasis on importance of working committee meet and said as all the senior BJP leadership is attending the meeting, now they have to take messages from this meeting to the ground activist. He said that every party activist is responsible to represent party policies to masses.
Dr. Nirmal Singh presented the Resolution on Security Scenerio. He also said that Pakistan is responsible for restlessness in J&K. Pakistan’s actions gave rise to terrorism and separatism in the peaceful atmosphere. He said that no previous govt. or any leader had guts or willingness to take the risk to take hard decisions but PM Modi ji and Amit Shah ji abrogated Article 370 to lead the J&K on path of peace and progress. He said that certain political leaders from Kashmir resort to communalize the atmosphere for their petty political gains and insisted that strict action must be taken against them. GM Mir seconded the resolution and spoke on the history of turmoil on the behest of Pakistan.
Ashok Koul discussed the organizational matters to strengthen the party in all Mandals up to booths. He provided the details of forthcoming party programmes and asked all the leaders to ensure party programmes with involvement of ground activists.
Sat Sharma said that BJP is a party of principles and set ideology which intends not to rule but to serve. He insisted that one feels pride in working as activist of BJP and with heart winning policies of the party, the organization is also attracting large number of senior leaders from another parties.
Chief Spokesperson Adv. Sunil Sethi presented the draft of political resolution for discussion.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, Sat Sharma and Dr. Drakshana Andrabi seconded the resolution.
Resolutions were adopted after including recommendations from BJP delegates with detailed discussions on the issues contained in the draft.
Party’s District Presidents from all Districts of J&K, Morcha State Presidents and All Cells Incharge presented the reporting of various organizational activities done by their respective teams.
Earlier, Meeting begun with the lighting of Traditional Lamp and recitation of Organizational Song by Inderjeet Sharma and Vande Mataram by Dr. Pardeep Mahotra.
General Secretary Dr. Devinder Manyal conducted the proceedings of meeting, Headquarter Incharge & NEM Priya Sethi read the note to pay tributes to all the party leaders and others who lost their lives in recent months. Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta read the minutes of last meeting. Welcome address was given by District President Amar Singh.
Whole Working Committee was managed by Management Committee team under its Incharge General Secretary Dr. Devinder Manyal along with Co-Incharge Arvind Gupta.
In its political resolution, the BJP touched all important subjects, which inter-alia, include care for poor during COVID-19 pandemic, Ayushman Bharat towards healthy India, Foreign policy, recent visit of Home Minister Amit Shah to J&K, Public outreach programme, development projects in the Union Territory, projects that have been completed , future of Jammu and Kashmir Government and the farmer beneficiaries schemes.
