Super Striker defeats Mahadev CC by 8 wkts

JAMMU, Jan 2: Super Striker Cricket Club registered an emphatic victory over Mahadev Cricket Club in a match of the ongoing Rajinder Saini & Sandeep Singh Memorial Under-16 (T-30) Cricket Tournament, being played at Parade Ground, Jammu.
After winning the toss, Mahadev Cricket Club elected to bat first but failed to capitalize on the decision and were bowled out for 163 runs in 29.1 overs. Mayank Mehra emerged as the top scorer for Mahadev, playing a fighting knock of 48 runs that included six well-timed boundaries. Tamim Tariq also chipped in with a useful contribution. The Super Striker bowlers maintained consistent pressure, with Ayan Malik, Nilaksh Gupta and Paras delivering disciplined spells to pick up two wickets each and restrict the batting side to a manageable total.
In reply, Super Striker Cricket Club put up a dominant batting performance and chased down the target comfortably, scoring 167 runs for the loss of just two wickets in 17.2 overs. Chaitnya Dogra led the chase with an impressive unbeaten half-century, scoring 50 runs with two sixes and five boundaries. He was well supported by Paras Safaya, who remained not out on 48 runs, smashing one six and nine boundaries. For his all-round performance, Chaitnya Dogra was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Tomorrow’s fixture of the tournament will be played between Johal Cricket Club and MIER Cricket Club at the same venue.
