Northern Army Commander reviews drone technology centre

JAMMU, Jan 12: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, today visited the Centre of Expertise for Drone Fabrication, Maintenance and Repair, where he reviewed facilities aimed at maintaining operational readiness and technological edge.
During the visit, he was briefed on the processes involved in fabricating, repairing and maintaining drones, which play a key role in enhancing the Army’s operational capabilities.
He also assessed the infrastructure supporting the sustained serviceability of unmanned systems required for modern battlefield operations.
Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the professionalism, technical skills and dedication of the personnel at the Centre, and lauded their contribution in ensuring high equipment readiness and preparedness to meet emerging challenges of future warfare.
The visit underscored Northern Command’s focus on leveraging advanced technology and indigenous expertise to remain combat-ready.
