JAMMU, Jan 15: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, today held a Janata Darbar at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan here. The programme witnessed a large turnout of residents from different parts of Jammu East constituency, who raised issues related to civic amenities, infrastructure, employment, and social welfare.
Yudhvir Sethi was accompanied by BJP vice president Ramesh Gupta, vice president, Anil Masoom, general secretary, Sumeet Raina, Jammu East Mandal president, Adarsh Jathiar, Amphalla Mandal president, Swati Sharma, and district president, SC Morcha Vijay Anand Gill, reflecting the party’s strong organisational presence and commitment to public service.
During the Janata Darbar, citizens presented their grievances, including water supply problems, drainage issues, road repairs, electricity shortages, and pending Government benefits. Many people also highlighted concerns related to health services. The MLA patiently heard every individual and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officials for prompt redressal.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said, “Janata Darbar is a bridge between the people and their elected representatives. Our aim is to ensure that every citizen of Jammu East feels heard, respected, and supported. Governance becomes meaningful only when it is accessible to the common man.”
He further stated, “Development cannot be achieved from offices alone. It requires continuous interaction with the public. I am committed to resolving genuine issues at the earliest and ensuring that Government schemes reach every deserving family.”
Sethi added that special focus is being given to basic infrastructure, sanitation and drinking water, in Jammu East. He assured that departments have been directed to work with accountability and transparency so that public confidence in governance is strengthened.
Party leaders present on the occasion also interacted with residents and assured them of full cooperation. They stressed that the BJP remains committed to inclusive development and people-centric governance.
Several grievances were resolved on the spot, while others were forwarded to the concerned departments for early action. The Janata Darbar created a positive atmosphere of trust and cooperation between the administration and the people.
