UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: A well-attended Public Darbar was organized today at Proa Jagir, Tandal Block, Jaganoo, in the presence of MLA Chenani, Balwant Singh Mankotia.
A large number of local residents participated in the Public Darbar and highlighted their grievances and demands before the MLA.
The main issues raised by the public included road connectivity, drinking water supply and electricity problems. The people expressed that it was the first time any MLA had organized a Public Darbar at the grassroots level, and they thanked MLA Mankotia for taking this initiative and listening to public concerns personally.
During the Darbar, officers from several departments were instructed on the spot to resolve the pending cases at the earliest. The MLA assured that issues requiring intervention at a higher administrative level would be addressed through proper coordination and tie-up with the Government.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Mankotia stated that solving public issues is his top priority and such Public Darbars will continue in the future to ensure direct communication between the public and administration.
Several prominent personalities present on the occasion, included ex-BDC Sanjit Sharma, ex-BDC Aarti Sharma, Ex-Sarpanch Sunita Kumari, Avtar Singh, Jagdev Singh (Jagga), Ganesh and other local representatives and social workers.
