JAMMU, Jan 17: Two individuals were found dead in Akhnoor and Belicharana areas here today.
One Anju Devi (46) wife of Yashpal of Akhnoor was found unconscious at her home, a police said. She was initially taken to SDH Akhnoor from where she was further referred to Government Medical College Jammu, where she was pronounced as dead on arrival, he said.
Meanwhile, at Lane 4 area of Belicharana, the police official said, an unidentified male, who was approximately 45-year-old, was spotted in an unconscious state by some passerby.
He was also taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, he said.
Both the bodies have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examinations while inquest proceedings have also been initiated at the concerned police stations to further investigate into the reasons leading to the deaths.
