JAMMU, Jan 18: The inhabitants of Laximipuram Chinore have expressed grave concern over long duration power cuts in the area which has added to problems of the people of locality.
In a statement issued here, today D N Sadhu a social activist has urged the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) to install an additional power transformer in Laxmipuram A2 Mohalla (Chinore) Ward 62 (Mandir /Masjid Mohalla) at the earliest. He stated that residents have been facing prolonged low-voltage problems and frequent power fluctuations as well as long duration power cuts leading to inconvenience and damage to household electrical appliances. Sadhu appealed to the Power Development Department (PDD) to take immediate action in the public interest?
He said it is unfortunate that the consumers are paying power tariff regularly as per the reading of electronic meters and still the Department has failed to ensure the better power supply in the area.
